The promises given to Israel are immediately transferred to the church.<\/p>\n
For example he read Exodus 4:16:<\/p>\n
Moreover, he shall speak for you to the people; and he will be as a mouth for you and you will be as God to him.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Then, without a pause he snatched up the clause \u201cYou will be as God to him,\u201d and switching the pronouns he was ready for action. \u201cYou\u201d became every person in the room that night rather than Moses from 3,000 years ago. \u201cHim\u201d became every person with whom you have any tension or disagreement. This is their standard operating procedure when moving through the OT.<\/p>\n
They do not ask the most basic questions:<\/p>\n

- To whom is this passage written?<\/li>\n
- What did it mean to the original audience?<\/li>\n
- How does the NT interpret this passage?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Prosperity preachers love using the OT because it was written to an earthly nation. What else should we expect<\/a> from people who say, \u201cHeaven is boring.\u201d?<\/p>\n
