This morning, as I prayed Job 34:32, \u201cThat which I see not, teach Thou me,\u201d one after another of these habits came to my mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bad habits in life<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Passing people without considering that they have eternal souls.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Prioritizing phones and apps over the Bible.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Consuming or enjoying without thanking the Giver.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Seeing, hearing, and feeling beautiful things like scenery, architecture, music, or food without adoring the First Artist.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Allowing my eyes to follow indecency.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Bad habits in relationships<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    1. Replying with sarcasm or anger.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Overlooking when I should speak a word.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Speaking only because I feel ill-treated, at a loss, or used badly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Passing a week without talking about spiritual matters to my wife or children or friends.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. Dominating in conversation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Bad habits in church<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        \n
      1. Attending without praying for the members or services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Wandering away in my thoughts when others pray.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Singing coldly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      4. Preparing more for work, trips, and events than for the Lord\u2019s Day and the Lord\u2019s Table.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      5. Leaving without talking to others.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Bad habits in prayer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \n
        1. Taking time for devotions without confessing sin.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Praying without faith, or without hoping and trusting that my prayers would be answered.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        3. Asking more for earthly things than for the glory of God, the conversion of sinners, and protection from sin.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        4. Spending a week without praying for the conversion of my children.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        5. Starting my day without praying.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          Bad habits in money<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

            \n
          1. Dividing my income as \u201cGod\u2019s portion\u201d and \u201cmy portion.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          2. Thinking more about my savings and retirement than my investments in Heaven.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          3. Buying things without thinking whether they will make me happier in eternity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          4. Giving without sacrifice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          5. Taking more care with my budget, savings, and investment than my giving to cross-cultural churchplanting.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
